Research Working Party
12-14 October 2011 | Cracow, Poland
Working parties are an EU Council preparatory body and are the lowest decision-making level (further levels are COREPER and the EU Council). They comprise representatives of all EU member states. Meetings are organised by the member state holding the Presidency of the EU Council (with the exceptions arising under the Treaty of Lisbon). They are attended mainly by research advisers from the Permanent Representatives of Member States to the EU, together with representatives of the EU Council General Secretariat and the European Commission.
